 Chapter 18-2: Breaking a Fever

Luo Sheng's tone remained emotionless as she replied, "The doctors are helpless." Her statements seemed to assert that she was right. Sheng Jiayu was too infuriated to speak.

Sheng Dataitai tried to console her daughter and gently patted her arm. She then asked Luo Sheng, "Do you know anything about medicine?"

"No, I don't," Luo Sheng responded Luo Sheng said frankly.

"Since that's the case, even if the doctors are helpless, they are still better than an ordinary person with no medical knowledge. Wouldn't you agree, Miss Luo?" Just as she spoke, the two doctors who had been staying at the Sheng Mansion rushed over, and one of the doctors with a slender physique exclaimed, "What medicine did the patient take?"

Sheng Jiayu pointed at Luo Sheng and said, "My Biaojie brought it and claimed it's a fever-reducing pill."

The thin doctor's anger was evident as his beard trembled. Driven by his sense of responsibility, he sternly reprimanded: "Nonsense! Treating a fever requires employing various methods. There are no special pills specifically for reducing fever!"

Having spoken his piece, the doctor examined Luo Chen's condition, leaving Wang Dafu drenched in a cold sweat. Hongdou couldn't help but curl her lips and muttered softly, "He certainly knows how to shift the blame smoothly." She was all too familiar with such tactics, considering Miss Luo's propensity for trouble.

The thin doctor touched Luo Chen's forehead with a grave expression, only to suddenly freeze. Witnessing the drastic change in his face, Sheng Dataitai anxiously inquired, "Li dafu, what's the matter?"

Li dafu's medical skills are generally recognized to be superior to Wang dafu's. The reason why the Sheng family invited Wang dafu at first was that Li dafu had gone to visit another patient and only come back this morning.

"The fever has gone down." Li dafu said blankly. Sheng Dataitai thought she heard it wrong: "What?"

Wang dafu dashed forward, pushed Li dafu aside, and reached his hand to Luo Chen's forehead. His expression changed constantly and finally turned into ecstasy: "The fever has gone down, really gone!" He no longer had to be responsible for giving random medications!

Wang dafu quickly regained his composure and glanced at Luo Sheng. It was true that he had made the pills, but the pill's formula had been given by this Miss Luo!

Luo Sheng looked calm and unaffected by the commotion unfolding before her.

At this moment, Wang dafu had a thought — although he didn't know how Miss Luo had come across such a miraculous prescription, perhaps as a noble lady, she neither cared nor realized the value of such a prescription? And he still remembered the pill's prescription…

Wang Dafu's heart skipped a beat. Greed began to creep in as he listened to the compliments from Li Dafu, his long-time rival.

"Two doctors," Luo Sheng spoke up, catching the attention of Wang Dafu and Li Dafu. They turned to look at her.

"I entrust my brother's further treatment to the two of you."
