 Chapter 51-2: A Joke

The young man hesitated as if contemplating a response but eventually chose to withhold his words. With a smile, he said, "Thank you for the advice, Dage. But Dage, why didn't you stop Sanguniang from visiting Divine Doctor Li?"

"Stop her?" Pingli's expression turned bemused, "Sidi, have you forgotten who Sanguniang is? She's Godfather's beloved daughter. How can I possibly stop her?"

"But Godfather's life is in danger—"

Pingli gently interrupted the young man's words: "That's precisely why we should take care of Sanguniang."

The young man fell silent for a moment, then nodded subtly. "Dage, you're right. Let Sanguniang do as she pleases." She was merely a young girl who continuously caused trouble. Attempting to stop her might only lead her to make more trouble. Dage had clearly thought it through.

As the Imperial Doctors left Imperial Doctor Office, the joke that Miss Luo wanted to use power to force Divine Doctor Li to treat her father began circulating quickly.
